Phil Knight was on the verge of creating an extremely successful company. He was determined to make it work. Knight was successfully selling his Japanese running shoes all over the west coast. He was becoming an extremely successful salesman. Knight had been a salesman for a long time but had never been a very successful one. He had a hard time selling anything until he started selling shoes. He was passionate about selling shoes. Since he was so passionate about it, he was more confident in his abilities and became a much better businessman.

Phil Knight was confident that his business was going to be successful and thrive. Knight decided to go into business with a partner. He partnered with his old college coach and sold hundreds of pairs of shoes. Soon after he got a partner, Knight got a letter from a seller in the Eastern United States that was selling Onitsuka shoes and was asking Knight to stop selling the same shoes on the West coast. Knight decided that he wanted to continue selling his shoes but didn’t have the funds for his business. Phil Knight’s father agreed to lend him the money that he needed to continue his business and order more shoes. His father wasn’t always supportive of Knight’s ideas and wasn’t confident in his son’s new found business, but he didn’t like the idea of someone hurting or disrespecting his son so he agreed to lend Phil the money.

Phil Knight wasn’t one to give up. He continued to pursue his dreams. He never gave up and continued to grow his business no matter how many road blocks there were that came his way. In today’s world, there are a million road blocks that come our way and a million things that try to stop us from pursuing our dreams. We can’t let those things get in the way of our future. We must be confident and determined in our lives and in our endeavors.
